As an Edge AI Computing Engineer, you’ll be solving complex business challenges and taking high ownership of our edge computing projects. This role will extend beyond simple deployments; it will involve the full lifecycle of conceptualization to execution.
This opening is for our Hong Kong office, located at HKSTP – Hong Kong Science and Technology Park.
What You Will Be Doing
- Play a leading role and drive the development of edge AI devices, focusing on the design, hardware and the intricate details involved.
- Take comprehensive responsibility for development of optimised computer vision pipelines, from initial concept to deployment including ideating, building and refining the solutions.
- Optimize and scale solutions for deployment on edge devices as well as integrating with IoT infrastructures to ensure seamless operation both in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Conduct comprehensive benchmarking to evaluate and improve the accuracy of cutting-edge computer vision models, continually optimizing performance and integrating the latest advancements in the field.
Our Ideal Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field/equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working with Computer Vision pipelines, with a focus on object detection, image segmentation, and pose estimation.
- At least 3 years of experience working with edge devices and their deployment. Experience with Linux based devices and ARM infrastructure (RPi & Jetson) is a must.
- Proficiency with Python, image processing libraries like OpenCV and Pillow and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing computer vision pipelines, understanding visual data processing and algorithms.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience in model optimization, including edge hardware deployment. Experience with Deepstream/Gstreamer/Edge optimised libraries is a plus.
- Excellent communication abilities and demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research outcomes, working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English is a must in order to communicate with non-Hong Kong teams. Fluency in Chinese is a bonus.
